Bangkok, Don Mueang Airport Information 2016(Transport, Restaurant, Hotel)

f:id:saku_bangkok:20161212020413j:plain

In Bangkok, there are 2 international airports. One is Suvarnabhumi International Airport and the other is Don Mueang International Airport. Don Mueang Airport is the main airport for LCC like Air Asia. In this article, I summarize Don Mueang Airport Domestic Terminal information.

Access to Don Mueang International Airport

In Don Mueang airport, there are 2 Terminals. Terminal 1 is International Terminal and Terminal 2 is Domestic Terminal. These terminals are connected.

From Suvarnabhumi International Airport

Suvarnabhumi International Airport provides the free shuttle bus service for the passenger who has an air ticket departure from Don Mueang Airport. The operating hour is 5:00-24:00. The buses leave every 30 – 60 mins.

From Bangkok city

  • Taxi

If you have much luggage, I recommend taking a taxi from Bangkok city. The taxi fare is around 240 Baht from BTS Ekkamai station with traffic jam a little and without the highway fee. It took around 40 mins.

  • Airport bus (A1, A2)

If you travel alone, Airport buses are friendly on the wallet. A1 buses depart from BTS Mo Chit station and A2 buses depart from BTS Victory Monument station. The cost is only 30 Baht and operating hour is 7:00 – 24:00.

  • LimoBus (an airport bus service for Silom and Khao San)

LimoBus is a fixed route bus. The route is Don Mueang Airport – Silom – Khao San. The fare is 150 Baht. It’s convenient for going to Khao San because there is no train station around Khao San. The operating hour is 9:30 – 24:30.
